Forex: AUD/USD consolidates at daily highs
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Australian dollar extended gains into a second day on Thursday, recovering from a low of 1.0220, and regained the 1.0300 mark supported by better appetite for risk.
AUD/USD climbed over 50 pips throughout the day and reached a high of 1.0326 before finding resistance and settling in a range just below. At time of writing, AUD/USD is quoting around 1.0320, recording a 0.4% gain since opening.
In terms of technical levels, if AUD/USD manages to break decisively above 1.0325, next resistances could be found at 1.0345 (55-day SMA) and 1.0360 (high Apr 19). On the downside, supports on dips could be faced at 1.0270 (daily low), 1.0230 (low Apr 24) and 1.0220 (low Apr 23).
